About Casey
Hey! I’m Casey, a video producer and student researcher. I’m passionate about two big things: telling interesting stories and deeply researching crucial issues.
I cultivated a love for performance and storytelling through speech & debate—going into college, I translated this into a media production degree, where I took my lifelong obsession for storytelling through video and expanded upon my technical skills, becoming skilled in the full end-to-end video production process through both university courses and part-time work.
Technical skills are vital. Equally meaningful to me, though, is developing my understanding of how the world works and seeing more of it—this led me to pursue a master’s degree in international relations, to comprehend geopolitical issues and how policy impacts all of us. I find theory fascinating, but most important to me is engaging with the real world—from sledding down a volcano in Nicaragua to hiking in Patagonia, Argentina, I always appreciate getting out from behind the book or computer.
My core values in work are curiosity & collaboration. I’m always seeking to learn and grow my skillset—I love working alongside driven and dedicated teammates and working for true masters of their craft. When not working or studying, I enjoy reading, weightlifting, running, hiking, and eating Taco Bell.
